A Labor of Love: Building a Loft Bed for Two Small Daughters

Last year, I took on the daunting task of participating in the Spring One Room Challenge '21, and boy, was it a whirlwind! My very first challenge involved transforming my daughters’ bedroom into a space that they could grow into. The focal point of the room was a custom-built loft bed with a play area underneath that could eventually accommodate a twin-size bed. This project was by far the most ambitious and complex endeavor I had tackled in my DIY journey. With a strict deadline of 8 weeks, I poured my heart and soul into the build. The sense of accomplishment I felt upon completing the loft bed was unparalleled.
